Theresa Medlin Crawford

VICE PRESIDENT FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICES AND DISTRIBUTION

Theresa Medlin Crawford joined Meals on Wheels Central Texas in 2004. She has more than 31 years’ experience in social services serving families in crisis and coordinating educational and advocacy programs and managing volunteers. She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and her graduate program in Human Ecology, Child Development and Family Studies from Louisiana Tech University. For 16 years she worked extensively in Community Case Management and served as Regional Director for Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana before moving to Austin. Currently she manages the Volunteer Services and Distribution Department at MOWCTX. She is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, management and retention of 6,500+ volunteers and teams in the MOW, HOPE and GTG Programs and the overall distribution operations for the following Meal Programs: Meals on Wheels; Rural and City Senior Center Meals, Country Wheels; Meals for Kids; and Breakfast Meals serving approximately 3000 elderly and disabled individuals and children daily in and around the greater Austin area.

Mrs. Medlin Crawford participates in local Greater Austin Chambers of Commerce, the National Association of Professional Women, and Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals. She has been profiled as a Forefront Austin Leader and recognized as an outstanding Woman of the Century in the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
